No idea what to do when you fly out to Majorca for a week of fun in the sun in summer 2015? Stick around as this week Club MAC Alcudia continues to let you know what’s happening in Alcudia in 2015. Here’s part two!

You’ll Never Be Bored in Alcudia

Based on the ever-sunny Baeleric island of Majorca, Club MAC Alcudia is a fun filled family resort with a range of activities designed to give you and your kids the holiday of your dreams.

Club MAC Alcudia is in the port town of Alcudia. A historic town brimming with culture, you’ll never be bored when you take the opportunity to spend the day in Alcudia. Summer 2015 will see a number of events come to the port settlement that you can’t afford to miss. Here’s what’s happening in Alcudia between June and August 2015…

Feel like a bit of rough and tumble in the sun? You’ll get your chance on 6th June at the World Beach Rugby competition; an international beach tournament which brings the best rugby teams in Europe to the beaches of this thriving Spanish tourist town.

June really is the month for sports enthusiasts in Alcudia. World Beach Rugby is followed by the Islandfit International Fitness Convention between the 15th and 21st June. This event will give you the chance to attend four days of alternating lectures and masterclasses on a range of fitness activities including indoor cycling and chill-out pilates.

The month rounds off with two events you can’t afford to miss.  The 2nd swimming race to celebrate Fisherman’s Patron saint day on 20th June and the Ciutat D’Alcudia Golf Tournament on the 27th; open to all players.

July gives you another chance to explore the rich culture and society of Majorca with the Festes De La Marte De Deu De La Victoria. A two day celebration between 1st and 2nd July with traditional dances and activities, celebrate this evening in style by following the local pilgrimage to one of Majorca’s most famous holy sites; Ermita de la Victoria.

The festival is accompanied by the La Victoria Poplar Race; a traditional running event which traverses 6km from the heart of Alcudia to the Ermita de la Victoria Chapel. Meanwhile the end of July gives you a chance to take part in another of Majorca’s traditional summer festivals; Festes De Sant Jaume. Held to honour the town’s patron saint, this week long festival that begins on 25th July gives you the opportunity to attend a series of theatre and dance exhibitions, open-air dances and concerts, along with authentic religious celebrations.

Things are set to kick up a gear during August in Alcudia this year. A number of outdoor concerts will be put on throughout the month in the exclusive atmosphere of the Can Torro Library courtyard. With a series of talented acts set to take to the stage, make sure you clear a little space in your itinerary to attend at least one of these must-see shows.

August is also a really good month to bring your kids to Alcudia. The Festa Des Ses LLanteres Parade rolls into town on the 24th. A colourful event which’ll give your children the chance to skip down the streets holding hand-made fruit lanterns and singing traditional Majorcan tunes, this is one parade that’ll stick in their memories for a lifetime.

There are two other events you need to take the time to check out in August. If you’re around on a Friday, why not take in one of the plays that are being held in the ancient city’s heart throughout the month of August? If that’s not your cup of tea, why not carve some time out of your schedule on the 29th for the XII Ronda Murada Night Race? This race, for all ages, goes through the centre of Alcudia and gives you the chance to engage in a little friendly competition with the rest of your family!
